After 100 years have passed, most of the people living today will be gone. They will be either in heaven or hell. In order for you to know where you will be, let’s look at some of the ten commandments
- Have you always obeyed your parents?
- Have you committed adultery or had lustful thoughts about the opposite sex?
- Have you ever lied?
- Have you ever taken something that did not belong to you?
- Have you had an abortion?
- Have you ever been angry and had hateful thoughts about anyone?
If you are honest with yourself, you have to admit that you have broken God’s commandments many times… Because of this, when you stand before God on judgement day you will be found guilty and therefore will end up in hell to suffer eternal torment.
But because God loves you so much, He has provided a way of escape by taking your judgement upon himself. God took on human form and was born of the virgin Mary in order to free us from the punishment of our sins.
The Bible says (John 3:16):
«For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believed on Him should not perish but have everlasting life»
We are guilty of sin but Jesus took our sins upon himself! He rose from the dead on the third day and overcame death… (Acts17:30,31):
«And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:. Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead»
Repentance – this is a change in our thoughts and our way of life. It is a desire to walk as the Bible teaches… Therefore, REPENT and surrender your life completely to God. With faith receive the sacrifice of Jesus dying on the cross for your sins. Do not hesitate and put off this important decision. For you don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Death can come at any moment… Will you be ready?
